Olivier’s path to composing music for the video game medium began at a young age, when his passion for video games evolved in parallel with his enthusiasm for the study of piano and composition at the National Conservatory of Music. He further honed his skills at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he delved into the realms of film scoring and interactive media.
In 2004, Oliver’s career took off with his groundbreaking score for the video game Obscure, which garnered critical acclaim for its immersive and atmospheric soundscapes. Since then, he has composed music for a diverse range of projects, such as: his memorable and emotionally charged score for Remember Me (2013), a futuristic action-adventure game set in a dystopian Paris; Vampyr (2018), an atmospheric action RPG set in 1918 London and known for its evocative score that captures the dark and brooding ambiance of the game’s world; A Plague Tale: Innocence (2019), a gripping narrative-driven adventure set in medieval France and lauded for its hauntingly beautiful music that enhances the game’s atmosphere and storytelling.
Hardcore gamer, Olivier has often been praised for his ability to create music that does not just accompany the gameplay, but also actively contributes to a game’s narrative and its overall experience.
